Who am I?
Hello, everyone. My name is Shanai Melvin, and I am the artist behind GothicLolitaAngel. I am from New York. Ever since I was young, animation has played a role in my life, from watching my favorite cartoons to classic Disney movies. But those simple, friendly shows wouldn't compare to the world of anime. Once, it gets swept up with shows such as the likes of Sailor Moon and Dragon Ball Z, which offer much more mature storylines. Even some of my favorite cartoons to this day were because they were impacted by anime just like myself. From anime, with now video games, and fashion the Japanese culture has completely positively impacted my life embarking on a journey to becoming a manga artist and illustrator telling my own stories. I have been creating ever since I was a child and my manga-making journey started back in 2018.
